Was finally able to get the white carrara trim pieces acid washed and installed. I installed them with Laticrete’s latipoxy. That is some crazy epoxy. Sets up very fast.. The only thing left to do is install the carrar wraps for the door, and install the bottom of the shelf.

This was a mosaic glass back splash I did in Leroy Ohio.. This was in the downstairs kitchen/bar area of  the house.. I did this one for a General contractor, and it turned out I knew the homeowner from playing indoor volleyball. Small world..

This one is a subway pattern using glass tile. Then adding in a glass pencil trim for a nice design.. Simple but very classy. I did this one in Concord Ohio. The client picked out the glass from Dal tile in Beachwood Ohio.

Started the East Coast Custard tile job today.. Day went pretty smooth. Was able to tear out and take to the dumpster about 700′ of tile. It sure is nice when the previous tile contractor doesn’t know what they are doing. They installed the 8×8 hexagon tile with  red inserts over top of cut back glue. The only thing holding the tile down was gravity, and the grout. The clients picked out an 18″x18″ arctic white speckle tile on a brick joint, with a 6″ black and white 1″ mosaic border. We will also be putting in about 800′ of white vct from Armstrong. and FRP panels in the kitchen area and bathroom walls.

Most of the time I will set stone and mud the old fashioned way. Using a mud bed and painstakingly set each piece.. Sometimes on a job, I cant add any mud to the floor because of height and weight restrictions. When that happens, I use the Tuscan Leveling System.. This system will give you a near perfect floor, without all the hassle of using a mud bed. You still have to make sure your floor is  nice and flat before setting tile. Once you have your sub-floor nice and flat, this system will speed up your install, and give you great results..

Here’s some progress. All work was done today. 18″x18″ porcelain tiles in master bath shower in Chesterland Ohio. I left space out for the listello that I will make from 4″ tumbled marble. The listello will be on a diagonal. The walls were waterproofed with Laticrete hydrobarrier. I also made 2 niches that will have the listello running through both of them. One will have the listello going through the bottom, and the other will run through the top of the niche. The inside and top of the jambs will be wrapped in 3/4″ carrara.

Just received the go ahead on the East Coast Custard tile job in Lyndhurst Ohio.. This job will consist of removing all existing tile. Applying an anti-fracture membrane, then installing new tile.. The clients picked out 18″x18″ glazed porcelain in arctic white speckle. This will be laid on a brick joint.. There will also be a black and white Athena mosaic pattern coming off the walls 6″. Demolition on this project will start Jan 3rd.
